Spend Optimization with Dynamic Yield Personalization Breeze!

Mastercard is excited to introduce Personalization Breeze in the United States. This program leverages personalized email content to stimulate the issuance and increase the use of payment cards. Content is automatically personalized to cardholders’ interests using Mastercard’s data, with user segmentation updated weekly based on spending behaviors.

 

How does Personalization Breeze Work?

Participating issuers will gain access to a standard campaign catalog and select the campaigns / use cases of most interest to them. For the selected campaigns, Mastercard provides "off the shelf" templates, content, segmentation criteria, result monitoring, and technical capabilities to deliver the campaign as part of the clients existing email program. The Dynamic Yield Breeze platform automates personalization by leveraging weekly updates to cardholder spend data, ensuring content is consistently relevant and personalized. Clients are responsible for sending emails to their users / customers.

Clients will have access to the following:

1. A catalog of up to 10 personalized email campaigns aimed at promoting the issuance of new cards, encouraging spending in new merchant categories, fostering advanced card usage (such as card-on-file and digital wallet services), and reactivating dormant accounts.

2. The option to select campaigns from the campaign catalog to reach their customers, utilizing templates, copy, and content supplied by Mastercard through the Dynamic Yield platform. The catalog's set of campaigns may include:

  • Acquisition: cross and up-sell more profitable products to the existing consumer base, such as cross-sell credit to debit users or up-sell to higher credit card tiers.
  • Activation: increase activation rates by driving early engagement.
  • Spend optimization: drive full consumer lifecycle potential by using spend boosting behaviors, such as category expansion, card-on-file, and activation of digital wallets.
  • Reactivation: awake dormant or churning consumers, reigniting spending, and top-of-wallet behaviors.

3. Access to Dynamic Yield's capabilities, allowing for the automation of content personalization through weekly spending data updates. This feature permits the weekly adaptation of content to align with each cardholder's evolving spending habits, guaranteeing that the content is always relevant and personalized.

Clients must complete an initial setup phase; including, the selection of use cases, email template configurations, and acquisition of all required internal approvals. Once setup is completed, the execution and reporting period begins, during which issuers are permitted to send an unlimited number of emails, with the content of each email being personalized by the Dynamic Yield engine.

 

TERM:

The Personalization Breeze setup and initial execution period (the “Pilot”) shall begin upon completion of this enrollment form and continue for a period of six (6) months . Upon conclusion of the Pilot period, continued access (the “Subscription”) shall begin and shall continue for recurring twelve (12) month periods, unless the Client provides written notice to terminate access at least thirty (30) days prior to the end of the Pilot or then current twelve (12) month Subscription period. To terminate access to the Subscription, Client must provide Mastercard with written notice of its intent to terminate.

 

FEES:

  • Pilot Period Fees: $55,000
  • Subscription Period Fees: $75,000 per year
