Travel segment - Hotel case study A leading hotel chain used Test & Learn® to quantify the impact of new pricing strategies and identify hotels that would benefit most

The management team wanted to drive revenue generated per available room (RevPAR) and profit by increasing average daily rates (ADR) without significantly reducing occupancy rates. ​

Mastercard Test & Learn® helped the hotel chain understand the true incremental impact of a $5 rack rate increase and other strategies to maximize profits. 

The rack rate increase drove a 250-basis point reduction in occupancy for test properties, offset by an ADR increase of $4.87.​ Test & Learn® identified a subset of properties which would benefit from the rate increase, resulting in $4MM in incremental revenue per year.​
