An ad tech platform partnered with Mastercard to measure the impact of an ad campaign for a retail brand from a digital marketing campaign executed over social media and mobile web.

Mastercard created a synthetic control for each exposed geography based on similar spend patterns at the retailer prior to the campaign.

Spend lift from the campaign was calculated vs. control during the campaign flight. This enabled quantification of the campaign’s incremental impact, correcting for any bias or seasonality.
