A fast casual restaurant chain retained customers after testing the impact of delivery fees

A leading fast casual restaurant chain wanted to understand how adding delivery fees on orders of $12 or less would impact sales. Using Menu Analyzer, the restaurant learned that baskets $12 and under with small-order delivery fees were frequently abandoned. Test & Learn® found that daily sales of baskets with these attributes declined 22% versus baskets that did not have a small-order delivery fee. The restaurant avoided potential loss by not rolling out this change network-wide.
