The Restaurant industry is highly dynamic requiring brands to be flexible and adapt quickly to consumer sensitivities. With rapid developments across tariff and immigration policies in 2025, keeping pace with "what it all means" has proven to be quite challenging for restaurant cost management and the consumer's wallet.

To support our Restaurant partners, Mastercard Services is introducing Navigating Economic Uncertainties and Policy Impacts for Restaurants. This curated program provided by Mastercard at no out of pocket fee to our partners is designed to help our clients stay informed about critical information and insights directly impacting the Restaurant industry.

Scope

Help Client executives navigate policy issues and economic uncertainties of the current 2025 environment to support financial decisions

  • Provide macro-economic perspective, forecast restaurant industry scenarios, and identify consumer trips and spending opportunities at site level across the brand network:
    • Understand headroom by comparing site level differences to National Brand average, 3-mile radius for custom competitive comp set (to be defined with client and pending Mastercard data compliance rules.)
    • Identify opportunities at the site level in order for Client to identify where to win more local trips.

Deliverables/Client Responsibilities

From starting date of acceptance of this Enrollment Form through December 31, 2025, Mastercard will deliver the following services:

  • Topical webinars featuring Mastercard Chief Economist and team
  • Newsletters provided every 4-6 weeks via email, specifically addressing economic issues related to the restaurant vertical and featuring Mastercard Economic Institute dashboards
  • “Economist on Demand” email contact address provided to Client to directly email Mastercard Economists questions as needed. The Mastercard Economist team will aim to provide an answer within 3-10 days of receipt (depending on the level of preparation required)
  • Excel file or within Test & Learn for site level spending opportunities incorporating Mastercard data insights and modeled from Test & Learn platform (optional) for quantification
    • Mastercard to lead partnership with initial Client’s brand to determine KPIs plus key location & customer views
    • Mastercard will identify site level opportunities based on performance, geography, or store groupings
    • Monthly updates from Effective Date until December 31, 2025 of Mastercard KPIs provided (e.g. trips, ticket spend)

Client will be responsible for the following elements:

Assignment of a Client Project Manager, to assist Mastercard with identification of Client stakeholders and support in scheduling mutually viable time to execute the reviews outlined in the prior paragraph as well as coordinate Spending Pulse access.

Fees

Based upon the scope of Services described herein, the Fees will total USD $300,000.00 (the “Fees”) which includes travel and lodging, administrative and other out-of-pocket expenses (“Other Costs”) incurred in connection with the provision of Services.

Client acknowledges that payment of the Fees and the Other Costs will be offset, as is further described herein:

  1. Mastercard and your company are parties to an Incentive Agreement, effective as specified in such agreement. Mastercard will contribute Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000) (the “Merchant Incentive Fund”) to provide access to the Services in this Enrollment Form.
  2. Notwithstanding this, the terms of this Enrollment Form and the Terms and Conditions solely govern the provision of the Services by Mastercard, and not the Incentive Agreement.
